1. On iPhone, iPad or iPod touch: open the App Store and tap your photo or the sign-in button at the top of the screen.
2. Tap "Redeem Gift Card or Code" and sign in with your Apple ID if asked.
3. Tap "You can also enter your code manually" (in some countries, you can use the built-in camera).
4. Enter the 16-digit code, which begins with X, and tap "Redeem".
5. Your Apple Account balance will update; you may need to sign out and back in on your devices for it to appear.
6. On Mac: open the App Store, click your name or the sign-in button, then click "Redeem Gift Card".
7. On a Windows PC: open iTunes, choose Account > Redeem and sign in with your Apple ID.
8. Enter the 16-digit code, which begins with X, and follow the on-screen instructions.
